Welcome to the Bluebell Cafe
Opened on the 1st March 2008, after extensive refurbishments the Bluebell Café is run by Thistle Catering who are delighted to welcome guests from far and wide to enjoy fresh locally sourced ingredients, fine wines, friendly table service and superb on site facilities.
Located at the David Marshall Lodge Visitor Centre in the Queen Elizabeth Forest Park, Aberfoyle the cafe is the perfect place to stop and enjoy some quality coffee and home baking or a light, leisurely lunch, amidst beautiful surroundings and breathtaking views over the Loch Ard Forest and Ben Lomond. Facilities include a large parking area, disabled access, children’s play park and outdoor seating on the café terrace.
The café prides itself on it’s fresh and healthy menu options and offers a large range of seasonal salads, home made soups and freshly squeezed juices and smoothies. Coupled with delicious ice cream, top quality Fairtrade organic coffee, especially blended and roasted for the Bluebell café customers, home baked scones and cakes and a special children’s menu to cater for all the family.
As the café holds a refreshment licence we are delighted to offer our customers a small selection of bottled beer and selected wine’s and champagne to enjoy with your lunch or for special occasions. The café can be hired exclusively for all special events and menu’s can be tailor made according to the occasion.

On Site Catering
As well as the day to day running of the café Thistle Catering also provides on site catering for corporate customers who wish to hire the conference room at the David Marshall Lodge and ‘Go Ape’ customers who require on site catering as well as providing catering for the many special events which occur throughout the year.
